A change of direction

I have opened a closed this blog post more times than I care to admit, and I have typed and re-typed this opening line even more so.
I have found myself uhhming and aahing with this blog for the past couple of months whilst I stressed over my degree which was coming to a close. I have always found writing quite therapeutic, but I was hitting a block with what to post, what to photograph and how to boost my motivation. I am no photographer, my sister would often roll her eyes and tell me that I needed to up my photography game to have a more well-rounded blog. A full time blogger I am also not, and I would sit and admire other people’s blogs whilst making no attempt to improve my own.
Recently I found myself watching Lydia Millen’s video about how she improved her mind set and motivation and it really struck a chord with me. I was so busy admiring the work of others that I wasn’t looking at what I was doing myself. And then it hit me. My writing style and content needed to change. Like I’ve said many times before, I am not a PT, nor a nutritionist, nor a doctor, but what I do have is a passion for fitness and an active lifestyle, and I have decided to stop becoming a ‘review this & review that’ blog and be a lot more personal, a lot more ‘me’.
From this point on I will be focusing more on what I enjoy in terms of food and an active lifestyle, and I will be trying a lot harder to hone in on my blogging (and photography) skills. I have now finished my degree, which means I have a lot more free time to blog and to hopefully locate my ‘get up and go’ which had got up and gone.
